A Book I Bought. Charlotte Sleigh

I really wanted to get a book called 'Pattern in Design Art and Architecture' out of the Library as it was just the kind of resource I was looking for to give me a little bit of inspiration and also I felt it would be quite interesting. I attempted to get it out a few times but it was always taken out by someone else, so I decided to buy it. Inside is full of patterns which cover buildings and interiors. I love how patterns that are part of the outside structures of buildings make them more like a piece of art and you almost forget that they are buildings.

A page that caught my eye was one with 'Persijn Broersen & Margit Lukacs' wallpaper installation on. The photo is of an istallation in Nieuwe Vide Gallery, Haarlem. I love how it looks as though the designer is walking into a hidden paradise somewhere that looks almost secret, I would like to use one of my designs in a room/section of new build so that when your in that area it almost feels like this. It's such a vast open planned space I feel that they could have forgotten about how nice it is to work or sit in a smaller enclosed space.
