Islington Mill- Ailsa Lishman.

Lucy's friend was part of a sculpture exhibition at Islington Mill, which I thought would be really great to see since Islington Mill has been mentioned a few times throughout Unit X, so I wanted to go to see what it was all about, get a feel for the place and whereabouts it was.

Islington Mill is a great building to have an exhibition on at, there's a bar area for entertainment, and plenty of floor and exhibition space. I'm not sure if there's other events on here more often, something to look further into? Would be amazing to have an exhibition on here later in the course!

There was some really great work going on here, not your standard sculptural work either, which I liked. My particular favourites were the lighting sculpture, featuring an upside lampshade with hundreds of light bulbs flowing upwards, and also the hanging white squares, which played with shadows.
Really think it's worth looking into this place more as it's a really great space.
