I began to create some patterns in Photoshop with one of the motif's I made earlier. I love getting really into I could sit there for hours making them perfect, It's like creating your own jigsaw trying see what fit's together. I decided to photograph this pattern rather than just upload a document I think it allows you to see the pattern from different angles and close up. I think I could maybe even make some of the photos into patterns, I will have to try this out, it could look to edited. This particular pattern started to remind me of lace almost like those doilies. It would be interesting to see what this pattern would look like on fabric or paper with sections cut out.
Love these Charlotte, they've worked so well! They remind me of work by Camilla Diedrich who also uses circular shapes in her work. Because of the blending appearance in your photoshop work it has also reminded me of Rodarte's spring/ summer 09 collection, they blended the most gorgeous colours on their dresses, maybe think about what colours you would like to use as well?
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm going to look into colour today I think. I was thinking about greens I'm going to look through some photograph's I've drawn from and decide. I'll have a look at those artists/designers you mentioned.
