Petal Mache

I really couldn't wait to see if it would be possible to use petals instead of paper to 'paper' mache. I decided to wrap cling film around part of my hand and cover it in pva glue, this was messy but enjoyable. As it started to dry i began to wrap petals around the glue and cling film cast. I am quite pleased with the outcome, it's only very rough as I slightly rushed it so I think if I maybe did it over a few days it would be even stronger and more successful. I think this will be how I create my petal brick!

I quite like how the light shines through the petals in this photo, a finished piece using this technique and involves lighting or natural light could be effective.
